The French have voted on Sunday June 10th for their representatives in parliament. The Parti Socialiste won 29.21% of the votes, while the party UMP of former president Sarkozy obtained 26,62%.
The Front National confirmed its presence amongst the other parties with 13,70% of the votes. Marine le Pen, party leader of the Front National, doubled her votes compared to the elections in 2007 and reached 42,36% in the district Hénin-Beaumont (Nord-Pas-de-Calais).
The Greens EELV obtained 5,46% of the votes and the Front de Gauche of Jean-Luc Mélenchon reached 6,9%.
Similar to the presidential elections there will be a run-off election in two weeks. The party of the new president Hollande hopes now to be able to win the majority of seats in this second round. Adding the votes of all left-wing parties (PS, EELV and Front de Gauche) delivers already 46,77% of the votes.
The second round of parliamentary elections will be held on June 17th.

Erste Runde der Parlamentswahlen positiv für die Parti Socialiste
Die Franzosen haben am Sonntag, dem 10. Juni, über die Zusammensetzung ihres neuen Parlaments abgestimmt. Die Parti Socialiste erzielte 29,21 % der Stimmen, während der Partei des früheren Präsidenten Sarkozy, UMP, ein Anteil von 26,62 % der abgegebenen Stimmen zufiel.
Der Front National bestätigt seine Verankerung in der Parteienlandschaft mit 13,7 % der Stimmen. Mit einem Anteil von 42,36% im Wahlkreis Hénin-Beaumont (Nord-Pas-de-Calais) verdoppelt die Parteivorsitzende Marine Le Pen ihr Ergebnis im Vergleich zu den Parlamentswahlen von 2007.
Die Grünen EELV erhalten ihrerseits 5,46 %, der Front de Gauche von Jean-Luc Mélenchon erzielt 6,9% der Stimmen.
In zwei Wochen gibt es, ähnlich der Präsidentschaftswahl bei den Parlamentswahlen in Frankreich eine Stichwahl in der zweiten Runde. Die Partei des neuen Präsidenten kann also auf eine absolute Mehrheit nach der zweiten Runde der Parlamentswahlen hoffen, da alle linken Parteien (PS; EELV und Front de Gauche) zusammengenommen 46,77% der Wählerstimmen auf sich vereinen.
Auch die Möglichkeit einer Koalition von UMP und FN gegen die sozialistischen Kandidaten wird diskutiert.
Die zweite Runde der Parlamentswahlen findet am 17. Juni 2012 statt.

Le premier tour des législatives 2012 favorable au Parti Socialiste
Les français ont voté Dimanche 10 Juin pour la composition de leur nouveau gouvernement.
Le Parti Socialiste a obtenu 29.21% des voix, tandis que le parti de l’ancien président Sarkozy UMP a réalisé le score de 26.62% des votes exprimés.
Le Front National confirme son ancrage dans le paysage politique français avec 13,7 % des voix. Avec un score de 42.36 % dans la circonscription d’Hénin-Beaumont (Nord-Pas-de-Calais), la patronne du FN, Marine Le Pen, double son score par rapport aux législatives de 2007.
Les Verts d’EELV obtiennent quant à eux 5.46% des suffrages, et le Front de Gauche de Jean Luc Mélenchon totalise 6.9% des voix.
Le nouveau parti présidentiel peut néanmoins espérer une majorité absolue à l’issue du second tour, puisque l’ensemble de la gauche (PS, EELV et Front de gauche) totalise 46,77% des suffrages exprimés.
La question d’une possible alliance entre l’UMP et le FN contre les candidats socialistes est également débattue.
